Apply and Audition for Summer Workshops
The application deadline for Summer 2026 Workshops has passed.
If you are still interested in applying, email Rose (rose@tetraquartet.org) to inquire if there is availability. Please provide your student’s instrument, current grade level, which workshop they are interested in, and a solo video recording that best represents their playing level (approx. 1-2 minutes)

June 22-27 in Tempe
Location: Holy Spirit Catholic Church, 1800 E Libra Dr, Tempe
July 6-11 in Tempe

Program Requirements:
Violin, viola, cello, and double bass students in grades 6-12 are eligible. We accept younger students upon recommendation from private teachers. Students may apply individually or as a pre-formed ensemble.
Acceptance and Placement:
Participation in TCMI is determined by audition, with students placed in ensembles based on experience and age.
Application Fee:
$25.00 application fee per family, per program
Application fee charged through Jackrabbit (see steps below)
Deadline to apply is May 1, 2026
Audition Requirements:
In order for your application to be considered complete, each of the following recordings must be included in your Supplemental Google Form (STEP 2).
Individual Applicants:
A solo of one’s choice that best represents the applicant’s playing ability (approx. 1-2 minutes).
Students who have never participated in TCMI must also prepare the following excerpt with the metronome ON. Please make sure metronome is audible in the recording. Click Here for the Metronome Excerpt
Pre-formed Ensemble Applicants:
One movement from the standard quartet repertoire.
Applications are Due May 1st. Students will be notified about their acceptance by May 10th. If you are interested in applying after the deadline, please contact us at info@tetrainstitute.org to see if there are spots available for your student’s instrument/level.
Tuition for a TCMI Workshop is $375.
*TCMI believes that economic circumstances should not keep students from participating in our program. Eligible students may apply for tuition assistance by completing a separate financial aid application.
