Program requirements:
Students in grades 6-12 are eligible. We accept younger students upon recommendation from private teachers. Students may apply individually or as a pre-formed ensemble.

Acceptance and placement:
Participation in TCMI is determined by audition, with students placed in ensembles based on experience and age.

Application fee:

$25.00 application fee per family
Application fee charged through Jackrabbit (see steps below)

STEP 2: Complete Supplemental Google Form. Your video audition link MUST be submitted on this form for your application to be complete.

Audition information:

In order for your application to be considered complete, each of the following recordings must be included in your Google Form application (STEP 2).

• Individual Applicant:

  1. A solo of one’s choice that best represents the applicant’s playing ability (approx. 1-2 minutes).

  2. Students who have never participated in TCMI must also prepare the following excerpt with the metronome ON. Please make sure metronome is audible in the recording. Click Here for the Metronome Excerpt

  Pre-formed Ensemble Applicants:

  • One movement from the standard quartet repertoire.

Tuition for TCMI Year Round is $750 for the entire year (August-April).
*TCMI believes that economic circumstances should not keep students from participating in our program. Eligible students may apply for tuition assistance by completing a separate financial aid application.
